Today we’re bringing you UK based supermarket Waitrose and their range of frozen food that was recently redesigned by Parker Williams.
In the words of Parker Williams the range design is “A simple and bold range identity for the frozen category that creates a warm and cosy feel-good range.”
Overall the design has an understated elegance about it. Strong colours have been used to help define each category, on top of that we find some bold typography mixed in with a simple photo of the product, which helps give the consumer a visual cue as to what’s inside.
As a whole the range is extremely successful, easily identifiable and striking to look at it screams British in all directions and is very much on brand for Waitrose. Indeed I don’t think there are many supermarkets that could get away with such a bold design but as always Waitrose leads the way hand hand with some of todays leading design agencies.
