Today we’re bringing the wonderful imaginings of the very talented Mr.Andrew Denholm, an illustrator based in Melrose, Scotland.
As always we turn to the man himself to explain his work:
“I like to create illustrations with a sense of humour and fun. I tend to use bright, bold colours but also enjoy working with monotone print techniques as well. I have been drawing pictures my whole life and love spending as much time as possible creating new characters and images for others to enjoy.”
Indeed his work is humorous, colourful and engaging, but in his drawings for Mekong Red Dragon Rice we also find a more refined look. Deliberately rendered with a very basic colour palette, the illustration cleverly uses the Mekong river to stitch together the journey of rice as it is grown, harvested, transported and sold. The illustration gels well with the overall minimalistic feel to the packaging and this clever illustration produced by Andrew makes the pack into a truly stunning piece of work.
I have no doubts that we’re going to be seeing a lot more from this talented individual but in the meantime those looking to check out more of his work can head over to his website, Behance, Twitter or Facebook.
